Finland Involved to Develop ITF in Sunter

PT Jakarta Propentindo (jakpro) involved Fortum, the investor from Finland to develop the Intermediate Treatment Facility (ITF) in Sunter, North Jakarta. It is garbage handling project in the city and marked by the signing of the Cooperation Agreement (PKS).

Director of PT Jakpro, Satya Heragandhi disclosed his side has held auction to determine the appropriate partner in the development of ITF.
"We get strategic partner of Fortum from Finland in term of ITF development," he stated, after signing PKS at City Hall, Friday (12/16).
ITF Sunter Construction must Be Realized SoonHe explained the Sunter ITF will be developed with capacity between 2,000-2,200 tons per day. The garbage volume can produce electricity powered 40 mega watts.
"This is the first time in Jakarta. The investment value is USD 220 million or around Rp 3 trillion," he stated.
He added it is done using Build Operated Transfer (BOT) pattern over 25 years. Later on, PT Jakpro and Fortum will form Joint Venture (JV) business with the majority stake held by PT Jakpro.
"We'll soon conduct Feasibility Study (FS) to realize the ITF," he finished.
